I made a sour cream apple tart which is a beloved classic apple tart made extra soft and creamy and ideally complements the flavour of baked apples. The recipe is simple and easy to follow, and the tart turned out tender, delicate and extremely delicious.
- Apples – 4 (quite large)
- Eggs – 3
- Sugar – 150 to 200 g
- Vegetable oil – 100 ml
- Sour cream – 150 g
- Flour – 250 g
- Baking powder – 1 tsp
Method is explained and illustrated below. Enjoy!
Prepare the apples. Chop 2 apples into chunks…

… then chop the remaining 2 apples into quarters and slice each quarter up.

Sift the flour into a bowl…
… add the baking powder, mix together and put aside.
Add the eggs into the main mixing bowl…
… and whisk until light and fluffy.
Add sugar gradually, in 2 or 3 portions…
… while continuing whisking.
Add soured cream…
… and vegetable oil (very gradually, in a thin stream)…
… and whisk until smooth and creamy.
